SASHI Foundation in collaboration with Consultative Forum of Customary Communities (Forum Musyawarah Masyarakat Adat – FOMMA) of Malinau Regency and supported by YKAN (Yayasan Konservasi Alam Nusantara), has assisted customary community of Dayak Tahol in Putat, Salap, and Seruyung Village on mapping their customary territories and submitting formal request to the Regency Government, in order to obtain a Malinau Regent’s decree on the customary right recognition.
The Malinau Regent’s decree then released and a ceremony was held on December 6, 2023 in Malinau city. The event was attended by representatives of Dayak Tahol from Putat, Salap, and Seruyung Villages, Malinau Regency Government, customary community figure, Malinau Forest Management Unit (KPH Malinau), Badan Registrasi Wilayah Adat (BRWA), and other invited guests.
