Culture and Nature

The SASHI Culture and Nature Program considers the diversity of cultural and spiritual values for nature conservation practiced by indigenous communities, religious groups, and the general public. This approach aims to make the protection of natural habitats more sustainable, diverse, and aligned with social values. The program will collaborate with partners on social strategies and policies to facilitate the protection of cultural and spiritual values, manage and restore areas where these values are practiced, and educate communities about their existing cultural and spiritual heritage. Additionally, it will highlight local opportunities for ecological management.
